DUCKS DON'T LISTEN

My friend Henry the Duck
Came to see me today
Again at the pool
I said, “Henry, hey!”

Let’s not have the trouble
We had yesterday
You pooped in the pool
Despite what I say

I don’t think he listens
When I’m talking and stuff
Or maybe he’s thinking
Enough is enough

Forgive me my English
Improper you may hear
Perhaps it’s because
Ducks ain’t got no ears

LISTEN TO ME READ

As I was looking at Henry, he often let's me get quite close, the obvious phrase came to me, "Ducks ain't got no ears." Quite often the last line of a Silly Kids Poem will come to me, as this one did, and the rest of the poem fills around it.
