I WISH I DIDN'T KNOW

My friends and me are all just kids
Like all the other kids we know
We want this thing, we want that too
Most of all we can’t wait to grow

My parents say “Just be a kid
For now, you’ll grow up all to soon.”
You should enjoy just what you are
Soon enough you’ll be an old prune

My Dad told me some things he knows
That come with being all grown up
‘Bout bills and ‘sponsibilities
Not things I want to know yup yup

So now the thing I really want
I wish that stuff would go away
I hope to erase from my mind
What I did not know yesterday
