RABBIT, CAT, SKUNK
I watched a cloud slide across the sky
As smooth as silk, I’ve heard it said
I must have spent an hour or more
Me just watching the clouds drift… instead
I know some people see when they look
A rabbit, a cat, or a skunk
This cloud was a cloud and nothing else
At least that’s what I thought… or I thunk
Clouds never held my interest before
I wonder why they do today
“Young man! Don’t you have homework to do?”
My Mom’s voice chased my daydreams away
LISTEN TO ME READ
I was on vacation, watching clouds drift across the sky while I floated in the pool, when this poem came to me.
