SILLY JUST BECAUSE
It’s Silly to be Silly
In the Silliest sort of way
But I think there’s nothing better
Than a Silly sort of day
A striped Cat that has a hat
That to be true is just a frog
I’m not sure why he’s on his head
Umm, instead of on a log
A cricket using chopsticks
To gobble ice cream on a Cat
The Cat is dancing with a Pig
‘Cause I guess that that is that
June Bugs in the month of May
Are swimming backstroke to the Sun
While Honey Flys and Butter Bees
Hokey Pokey just for fun
Nonsense makes a Silly Day
The very best day that can be
So Silly is as Silly does
Silly You and Silly Me
I was having a conversation with a friend's young daughter who is sometimes DELIGHTFULLY silly and could hardly wait to get home so I could write this silly poem that spilled out of my head. Fun, fun, fun!
