WALK A PET ll

Each morning rain or shine, again
I take a little walk
They look a tad bit sleepy still
My neighbors watch us like a hawk

They’ve ALL got signs, “STAY OFF THE GRASS!”
It seems a little rude
For me and my beloved pet
It’s just a poopy attitude

They look somewhat annoyed at us
I’m sure I don’t know why
I always wave and smile as he
Well, he trumpets a friendly, “Hi!”

I know the ground shakes just a bit
When elephants pass by
I’ll come back to scoop up his poop
I’ll remember… at least I’ll try
